Growth of texts within the public administration

This project examines texts and text production methods within low-paid sectors of the public administration. In these predominantly female sectors, while writing is not the core function it still occupies a prominent role. Texts are often statutory by nature, the main focus being on texts on the subject of home care, day care and income support services.

The project serves both societal and linguistic interests, since it examines the degree to which statutory language requirements are being met and the ways in which IT systems influence the resulting texts. The project is examining both public and licenced texts. Its results will be used to improve language use within the examined sectors.
