Specialist library for Finnish, its related languages and culture
The library houses a general collection and specialized reference libraries, comprising a total of over 110,000 volumes covering 2,200 shelf metres. About 700 periodicals and academic journals from around the world are added to the collection every year.The general collection is mainly devoted to the study of Finnish and other Uralic languages, folklore and ethnology. The collections are open to all scholars and students.
The library’s web publications include an English-Finnish Thesaurus for Linguistics released in December 2003.
Opening hours
